Sir

I am glad to see that there is a healthy debate in your paper leading up to

the Mayoral elections.  Ken or Boris?

In this borough we need change, London needs change because I am seeing too

many of my friends and family leaving for what they say is a better life

overseas because of crime, falling education standards, the surveillance

society, transport, overtaxing and a feeling that Ken has looked after his

own cronies and concentrated mainly on inner London.

Who and where are they going? My nephew and his family are moving to Jersey

because of low crime and great education; my physiotherapist and web design

partner are moving to Spain because of a lower cost of living – they have

been priced out by mortgage rises and council tax and want a better

education for their daughter; my friend who is married to a Polish girl is

leaving for France because of the standard living, transport and crime and

there are others.  This borough cannot afford this brain drain, we have to

give Boris a chance.
